Vegas Golden Knights forward Jonathan Marchessault has won the 2023 Conn Smythe Trophy, awarded annually to the player deemed most valuable to their team during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Marchessault, one of the six remaining original Golden Knights, was instrumental in leading his team to their first-ever Stanley Cup championship, defeating the Florida Panthers in five games.
The 30-year-old winger led all players in the playoffs with 13 goals and 12 assists, finishing with 25 points overall.
Marchessault's performance was particularly impressive in the Stanley Cup Final, where he scored four goals and added four assists in five games.
