Victim Identified as John O'Keefe, 46
On January 29, 2022, Boston police officer John O'Keefe, 46, was found dead outside a home in Canton, Massachusetts. Police have arrested Karen Read, 48, in connection with his death.
O'Keefe was a Boston police officer for 23 years. He was assigned to the city's drug control unit.
Read is being held without bail. She is scheduled to appear in court on February 10 for a probable cause hearing.
The motive for the killing is still under investigation.
